Compliance · labour law and security

Rules are data,not code.

A hand-made roster proves nothing. On the day of an inspection or a dispute, someone has to reconstruct who was where and why it was legal. Noviq evaluates every assignment against versioned, dated rules, and keeps the proof.

Without a rule engine

What a roster you cannot check really costs.

  • Today

    The violation found after publishing

With Noviq: Every edit is evaluated before it is saved. What breaks shows up at once, with the rule at stake.

  • Today

    The exception nobody remembers

With Noviq: An override requires a reason, stays attached to the assignment and surfaces in the report.

  • Today

    An inspection prepared for weeks

With Noviq: Compliance for any past period replays in one query, with the rules that applied at the time.

Three levels of rules

Three levels of rules, in the order they bind.

  1. Never relaxed

    01 Legal

Safety rest, daily and weekly rest, averaged hour caps, change notice periods. Shipped as presets with the encoded text on record. An establishment can tighten them, never loosen them.

  2. Set by the department

    02 Organisational

Minimum coverage per line, required seniority, maximum consecutive nights, forbidden sequences, weekend and holiday balancing.

  3. Specific to each person

    03 Personal

Contract and part-time terms, hard unavailability, weighted wishes, certifications still in validity.

What the engine guarantees

Every verdict explains itself, leaves a trace, and can be replayed.

  • One sentence per verdict

"Blocked: safety rest. The garde ends at 08:00, this shift starts at 14:00; 11 h required, 6 h available." The same sentence appears in the editor, in the refused swap, and in the report.

  • Overrides on the record

Reality sometimes forces an exception. An override requires a reason, stays attached to the assignment, and surfaces in the compliance report. Nothing passes silently.

  • Evidence you can replay

Evaluations are kept with the rule versions in force on the date concerned. "Prove September was compliant" is a query, not a reconstruction.

  • Continuous watch

A nightly re-evaluation of the next sixty days catches what drifts slowly: an expiring certification, a changed contract, a standby call-out declared at 3am.

What IT will ask

Sensitive HR data, treated as such.

  • Hosted in the European Union, with a French or European provider.
  • No patient data: Noviq handles working time, not care.
  • Server-side session authentication, revocable per device, with MFA and step-up re-authentication on sensitive actions.
  • Role-based visibility: a practitioner sees their own counters and the team roster, not colleagues' absence reasons or pay.
  • Append-only audit log on governed actions: roles, overrides, publications, exports.
  • Personal data export and erasure available as product features, not as a service request.
  • Backups with tested restores: a published duty roster is a legal record.

One honest caveat

Rules shipped as "legal" are verified with legal counsel before carrying that label, and are dated inside the product. Noviq applies the law configured for your establishment; it does not replace it and does not settle disputes.
