Product · from the period to payroll

Everything a department does with a roster. In one tool.

Today the roster is built in a spreadsheet, negotiated by text, patched over the phone and re-keyed for payroll. Noviq covers the whole chain: build the period, publish it, run it day to day, then draw payroll and reports from it.

01

Build and publish

Today

A spreadsheet rebuilt every month, and a "final" version that never is.

  • Solver generation

The solver places shifts from rules, qualifications, counters and wishes. Every placement is explainable, and long runs stay cancellable at the best result so far.

  • Grid editing

Direct keyboard editing with live rule verdicts on every change: what breaks shows before you save, not after.

  • Shifts and rotations

Shift types, garde lines, rotation cycles, part-time contracts: describe the service once and replay it every period.

  • Publishing and versions

A draft becomes the official roster through a dated publication. Every later version is a tracked change, notified to the people it affects.

02

Run the schedule

Today

Every swap, leave request or gap ends up on the planner's phone.

  • Shift swaps

One person offers, a colleague accepts, the rule engine validates. The planner only steps in when a rule says so.

  • Open shifts

A vacant garde is broadcast to eligible staff and the first valid answer takes it. Holes fill without phone calls.

  • Leave and absence

Request, approval chain, current balances, and the effect on coverage visible at the moment of deciding.

  • Wishes and unavailability

A collection window before each period replaces the email round: weighted wishes on one side, hard blocks on the other.

  • Mobile

Installable on the phone, push notifications, offline access to the personal schedule.

  • Calendar sync

Always-current ICS feeds into Google Calendar, Apple Calendar and Outlook: the schedule lands where people already look.

  • Notifications

Every change that affects someone reaches them, on the channel they chose, without drowning everything else.

03

Prove and balance

Today

Fairness is argued in meetings and compliance is checked from memory.

  • Compliance engine

One evaluator for generation, editing, swaps and reports. Every verdict reads as one sentence naming the rule and the facts.

  • Fairness counters

Nights, weekends, public holidays, gardes, hours, wishes honoured: counters are visible to the whole team and feed the solver's balancing.

  • Time worked

Badge readers, mobile clock-in, declared standby call-outs: reality reconciles against the plan, exception by exception.

  • Reporting

Activity, hours, compliance, absence, fairness, per person, team, site and consolidated. Every number drills down to the assignments behind it.

04

Hold the establishment together

Today

One tool per site, payroll re-keyed, and access nobody really controls.

  • Multi-site and multi-service

Shared staff, cross-site coverage, a consolidated view for management. One system, not five separate accounts.

  • Access and roles

Roles per organisation and per team, MFA, sessions revocable per device, audit log on governed actions. SSO and provisioning come after v1.

  • Payroll export

Variable pay elements flow from the validated schedule into the establishment's payroll system, with no re-entry and no hand-built file.

  • Integrations

HR systems, appointment platforms, time clocks, plus an API and webhooks for the establishment's own tooling.

  • Migrating what exists

Structure, roster, cycles and history are imported, not typed. A service starts in days, not quarters.
